This Limited Warranty Statement applies only to EMBASSY ONLINE.
The warranty commences from date of invoice issued thereby:
The agreement is subject to the conditions described below. This warranty only applies to a sales agreement between EMBASSY and the Buyer in instant case. By making purchase of the products, it would be deemed that buyer also accepted terms of this Warranty Agreement.
The warranty is for solar products labelled “EMBASSY” or “ECOLUXE BY EMBASSY”
- PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this warranty agreement is to clearly define and lay down the terms and conditions related to the sale and warranty policy of the Products.
- WARRANTY PERIOD
For the Solar panels you purchased, you receive an EMBASSY warranty valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
With a linear power warranty of 25 years.
The actual power output of the Products shall be determined for verification using Standard Testing Conditions only. The actual power output measurement is either carried out by an EMBASSY ONLINE facility or by an EMBASSY ONLINE recognized third-party testing institute. Testing equipment uncertainty will be applied to all actual power output measurements.
- SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
The warranty in respect of products shall only be applicable, if and only when the following are followed:
All Solar equipment must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labor.
A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installed, specific to the installation of the backup or solar system.
The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts.
Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid COC and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim null at void.
- WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
To the extent permitted by law, EMBASSY excludes all liability for the product to the extent that any damage or defect has been caused or contributed to by the following, which immediately voids your warranty and the right to return an item:
- Short circuiting
- Over series connecting
- Over-voltage
- Lightning
- Corrosion
- Sea spray
- Dust or any solid particles
- Sand
- Insects
- Lizards
- Hail damage
- Weather damage
- Negligence by the installer or homeowner
- Incorrect installation
- Inadequate protection device rating
- Tampering (broken seal)
- Transport damage.
- Installation done by other than our authorized personnel, if done by other than our team, the next point will apply.
- Incorrect installation; For example, incorrect DC pole wiring/connection, loose DC wiring / connection, which lead to the damage of the solar
- Not installed as per manufacturers specifications and manual guide.
- Not installed with a minimal surge protection unit for both live and neutral wires from the DC supply
- Not earthed
- Visible damage to the unit
- Incorrect use or inappropriate operation
- APPLICABLE LAW
The Warranty is subject to the law of South Africa, failure to follow South African law in any procedures in installation with regards to SANs code of practice or any other rulings will immediately nullify your warranty of the product purchased.
EMBASSY will then not be liable to assist with product or products warranty due customers negligence.
Please ensure all installations are done by installers that have the adequate knowledge regarding these standards of practice, rulings and laws.
