This document lays down the Limited Warranty Agreement (“Warranty”) of the sales of EMBASSY generators. Warranty of the generator products are for a period

The warranty commences from date of invoice issued thereby: The agreement is subject to the conditions described below. This warranty only applies to a sales agreement between EMBASSY and the Buyer in instant case. By making purchase of the products, it would be deemed that buyer also accepted terms of this Warranty Agreement.

1. PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this warranty agreement is to clearly define and lay down the terms and conditions related to the sale and warranty policy of the Products.

2. WARRANTY PERIOD

For the generator you purchased, you receive an EMBASSY warranty valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
All warranties are subjective to the special condition of warranty explained below.

3. SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

The warranty in respect of products shall only be applicable, if and only when the following are followed:

  1. consult the troubleshoot guide supplied and follow all check points
  2. Contact EMBASSY support for technical assistance before booking machine in for repair.
  3. Provide proof of purchase and either take or get a pick up scheduled.
  4. Do not attempt to deal directly with uncredited personnel as this will void your warranty.
  5. The generator will take 7-10 working days to be repaired from the day received.
  6. You may contact EMBASSY for an update regarding machine

4. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

 To the extent permitted by law, EMBASSY excludes all liability for the product to the extent that any damage or defect has been caused or contributed to by the following, which immediately voids your warranty and the right to return an item:

  1. Neglect in the periodic maintenance
  2. Improper repairs or maintenance including any repairs or maintenance carried out by a non accredited service EMBASSY agents.
  3. 0perating methods other than those indicated in the owner’s manual.
  4. The use of non-genuine parts and or accessories other than those supplied by an accredited service agent.
  5. Normal wear and tear including but not limited to the fading of painted or plated surfaces.
  6. Consumable parts including but not limited to keys, spark plugs, fuel and oil filters, recoil starter ropes, wheels, lubricants, oil grease and fuel.
  7. Transport damage.
  8. Installation done by other than our authorized personnel, if done by other than our team, the next point will apply.
  9. Incorrect installation; For example, incorrect AC splitting, wiring/connection, loose AC pole wiring / connection, which lead to overload
  10. No proper overload protection.
  11. Not installed as per manufacturers specifications and manual guide.
  12. Cleaning adjustments and normal periodic maintenance work including but not limited to cleaning of the battery, carburettor, engine oil, fuel tank and Injectors.
  13. Over loading resulting in the damage of the AVR, circuit breaker, stator and rotor.
  14. Discharging and poor maintenance of the battery.
  15. Fire damage as a result of but not limited to overloading, incorrect installation, incorrectre-fuelling and any other causes as set out in the owner’s manual.
  16. Damage to any electronic and or electrical appliances connected to the generator.
  17. The installation of the generator must only be done by a qualified electrician. Acertificate of compliance will be required for warranty purposes.

The generator must be connected to an

  • essentials” DB Board or Split separately and should not be connected not directly to the main DB board.

The •essentials” DB board cannot exceed the amperage output of the generator.

PLEASE CONSULT WITH YOUR ELECTRICIAN PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION. 

EMBASSY MAY REQUEST AT OUR SOLE DISCRETION, AN ON-SIGHT INSPECTION OF THE INSTALLATION OR PICTURES OR VIDEOS ON HOW MACHINE WAS INSTALLED. IF THE INSTALLATION IS NOT COMPLANT AND DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS SET OUT IN THIS WARRANTY EMBASSY HAS THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE WARRANTY AND ALL CLAIMS.

THE COST OF SUCH INSPECTION WILL THEN BE ON THE OWNERS ACCORD.

5. APPLICABLE LAW

The Warranty is subject to the law of South Africa, failure to follow South African law in any procedures in installation with regards to SANs code of practice or any other rulings will immediately nullify your warranty of the product purchased.

EMBASSY will then not be liable to assist with product or products warranty due customers negligence.

Please ensure all installations are done by installers that have the adequate knowledge regarding these standards of practice, rulings and laws.

**Please note high wattage items should not be used on the Generator above it usable output; this would be a high risk of overloading or could potentially instantly overload the machine, which would result in the warranty being void,  

If warranty is void, cost of the repairs will be customers duty to pay, if not machine will be withheld until paid or returned to customer in its damaged condition.im
