BATTERY WARRANTY AGREEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This document lays down the Limited Warranty Agreement (“Warranty”) of the sales of EMBASSY batteries. Warranty of the battery products are for a period per battery type (ie. Whether lithium, calcium or lead acid)

The warranty commences from date of invoice issued thereby: The agreement is subject to the conditions described below. This warranty only applies to a sales agreement between EMBASSY and the Buyer in instant case. By making purchase of the products, it would be deemed that buyer also accepted terms of this Warranty Agreement.

 

1.    PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this warranty agreement is to clearly define and lay down the terms and conditions related to the sale and warranty policy of the Products.

 

2.    BATTERY WARRANTY PER TYPE OF BATTERIES

2.1. In terms of Calcium and Solar Sealed Lead Acid batteries:
We give a 6-month warranty, only on the voltage not on the Amps which is the life cycle and usage of the battery which will be explained further in special conditions of warranty.

2.2. In terms of lithium 12V pack batteries:
We give 1 year warranty, as per the special condition of warranty explained further.

2.3. In terms of lithium batteries with built in communicational BMS batteries:
Batteries warranties will be based on cycle model purchased. Batteries with 2000 cycles its batteries:

  1. BMS is guaranteed for 1 year.
  2. Cells are guaranteed for 1 year.

Batteries with 3000 cycles its batteries:

  1. BMS is guaranteed for 1 year.
  2. Cells are guaranteed for 2 year

Batteries with 5000-6000 cycles its batteries:

  1. BMS is guaranteed for 2 year
  2. Cells are guaranteed for 5 year

All warranties are subjective to the special condition of warranty explained below.

 

3. SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

The warranty in respect of products shall only be applicable, if and only when the following are followed per battery type:

1.In terms of Calcium and Solar Sealed Lead Acid batteries:

2.In terms of lithium 12V pack batteries:
We give 1 year warranty, as per the special condition of warranty explained further.

3.In terms of lithium batteries with built in communicational BMS batteries:

  1. It complies with the installation process of EMBASSY and is operated and maintained in accordance with product Instruction
  2. It is used within its capacity measurements of charge and discharge as an energy backup, as well as following its DOD range per battery type.
  3. It’s purchased from EMBASSY or Authorized reselle
  4. It’s installed in an indoor environment.
  5. It’s used on a proper daily cycle basis.

The warranty shall become inapplicable if the defect in or failure of the Product’s performance is attributable to the buyer’s misuse, abuse, accident or non-observance of the Product instructions and manuals.

 

4.    WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

To the extent permitted by law, EMBASSY excludes all liability for the product to the extent that any damage or defect has been caused or contributed to by the following, which immediately voids your warranty and the right to return an item:

  1. Inverter or charge failure
  2. The product being installed in an outdoor environment
  3. Battery has not been installed or operated according product specification
  4. Treating or using the product in an improper, neglectful or inappropriate way.
  5. Poor transportation, as well as dropping, trampling, deforming, impacting or spearing ite
  6. Abuse, misuse, negligence, accidents or force majeure events, including but not limited to lightning, floods, fire, extreme cold weather or other events outside reasonable contro
  7. Failure to install product as per South African National codes of practice law.
  8. Theft or vandalization of the product or any of its component

 

5.    APPLICABLE LAW

The Warranty is subject to the law of South Africa, failure to follow South African law in any procedures in installation with regards to SANs code of practice or any other rulings will immediately nullify your warranty of the product purchased.

EMBASSY will then not be liable to assist with product or products warranty due customers negligence.

Please ensure all installations are done by installers that have the adequate knowledge regarding these standards of practice, rulings and laws.
